Over 50 Years of Commitment On December 14, 1951, KanOkla was born. It started out with 824 subscribers, and a loan from the REA. Now, in fiscal year 2002, there are over 3700 access lines, nearly 6000 Internet customers, revenues exceeding $10 million, member equity reaching $22 million, and total telecommunications plant in service of over $26 million. During its exciting 50-year history, KanOkla has established itself as one of the leaders in the rural telecommunications industry.
